The Public Works Department
maintains municipal roads, parks, and buildings.
Responsibilities
- Road Maintenance - provides road maintenance within the
right of ways of 130 miles of municipal roads. Maintenance includes:
- Brushing trees
- Patching pot holes
- Crack sealing
- Mowing road sides
- Repairing drainage systems
- Sweeping
- Repairing and Installing street signs
- Snow removal.
- Park Maintenance - Public Works is responsible for maintenance
of the 8 ballfields, 2 soccer fields, 5 pavilion’s, 3 tennis and
basketball courts, the William Funk Bikeway, and numerous walking
trails.
The Public Works department can be reached at the Municipal Building
at 327-2100 Ext. 116. If you have an Emergency during non working
hours you may contact the Murrysville Police at 327-2111. For State
maintained roads call (724) 832-5387 The Murrysville Public Works
Department's maintenance building and operations office is located
next to the Municipal Building on Sardis Rd.
Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
