Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Laurel Region serves Westmoreland and Fayette Counties. Our Executive Director is Kelli S. Belanger. FORM is an incorporated not-for-profit organization of individuals dedicated to the objective of protecting rural values in Murrysville through political action. FORM's activities consist of: 1)Watchdog - attending municipal meetings; 2) Communication - via letters to newspapers, public hearings, and the FORM Newsletter; 3) Litigation - as the group sees necessary; and 4) Election - supporting outstanding citizens of similar philosophy. Murrysville Area American Association of University Women (AAUW)
Membership in the American Association of University Women (AAUW) is open to anyone holding a baccalaureate degree from a qualified educational institution. Student affiliation is open to any undergraduate student enrolled in a regionally accredited educational institution.

In principle and practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age sexual orientation, disability, or class. Membership is NOT by invitation.

Murrysville Garden Club
The objectives of the Murrysville Garden Cub are to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to aid in the conservation of natural resources, and to encourage civic beautification.  The club has a spring plant sale with the profits providing scholarship awards to students who have successfully completed one year of college, community plantings, a Junior Garden Club, an annual flower show, and garden therapy at two nursing homes.

Lions Clubs International(r) is the world's largest service organization. Founded in 1917, it has more than 1.3 million men and women members located in 200 countries and geographical areas. Our motto is: WE SERVE.

The Murrysville Lions Club supports several one-time or ongoing community programs: funding eye exams & glasses, used eyeglass collection, free eyesight and hearing tests (Care-A-Van), Teen-age Golf League, all under the Lion's SightFirst Program - Lions Conquering Preventable Bllindness. Murrysville/Export Rotary Club
Rotary is an international organization of more than one million service minded business and professional leaders. Service and fellowship are the hallmarks of Rotary and Rotarians worldwide. The Murrysville-Export Club has sponsored the community Halloween Parade since 1962 and has completed many projects around the community. Most notably, members of the Club acquired the property for Haymaker Park in 1952 and aided in the creation of Communities, Inc. to manage the park.

The Murrysville-Export Club was chartered on August 27, 1945 and meets every Wednesday at 6:45 PM at the Lamplighter Restaurant on Route 22. Each year the Club has major fund-raisers that have included - the Chili Open golf in the snow of February, our Lotto Night in the spring, and the Chicken A Go Go in the Fall; for which the community’s support is appreciated. Sportsman and Landowners Alliance of Murrysville
This organization is open to all those interested in the outdoors, primarily hunting, fishing, and wildlife conservation, and meets once a month. The group works to promote education about wildlife and conservation. The members clean and maintain Haymaker Run stream for youth fishing, maintain the official Murrysville Tree Sign, and provide a limited number of birdfeeders and kits to local Scouts to promote intelligent feeding of wildlife. They also make these birdhouses available at Dean's barber Shop for sale, to help fund the conservation projects and help feed the wildlife. They also provide scholarships for local western conservancy schools.

Turtle Creek Watershed Association (TCWA)
The Turtle Creek watershed stretches from the western edge of Greensburg to the Edgar Thompson Works on the Mon River, covering 147 square miles over two counties and all or parts of 33 municipalities – including most of Murrysville. The Turtle Creek Watershed Association was incorporated in 1970 and received its non-profit status in 1971. Since that time, it has worked to address water quality and water quantity issues including erosion reduction, flood prevention, streambank restoration, abandoned mine drainage remediation, water quality monitoring, and community education.

American Field Service (AFS)
AFS is an organization devoted to promoting world peace and understanding through international/intercultural exchanges of students of high school age (16-18). Discovery is an after-school enrichment program providing unique and quality courses to children of the area. Low pupil/teacher ration is maintained and local available talent is used for teachers. Courses are offered during the winter and summer months.

The Franklin Regional ADULT SCHOOL, Inc. program is a nonprofit organization administered by volunteers who are dedicated to providing leisure time activities for the community. These noncredit classes are designed to give adults a chance to learn a new skill or hobby at an affordable price.

Footloose Square Dance Club
Footloose Squares is a square dance club which holds dances with Guest Callers at the mainstream and plus level from 8.00 to 10.30 pm on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturdays of each month at the Murrysville Community Center, 3091 Carson St. Singles and couples are welcome. Murrysville Area Radio Control Society (MARCS)
MARCS is a sport aviation group who's members design, build and fly radio-controlled model aircraft. The group meets every second Thursday evening at 7:30 pm at the Murrysville Community Center, and members fly at their model aviation field near Saltsburg, PA every weekend and some evenings, weather permitting. To find the aviation field, follow Route 286 east until it joins Route 380 near Saltsburg, PA; then take the first right turn; then look for the field at the next right turn. Murrysville Chess Club
The Murrysville Chess Club meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 11 at the First Presbyterian Church in Murrysville. The club is open to all those who are interested. Dues for members are $40 each year, and children of members are welcome to come and play for free. The club plays speed chess and rated games, and a tournament is held annually. Also, every year a team from the club is entered in the Pittsburgh Chess League for additional tournament play.

The Murrysville Duplicate Bridge Club is a non-profit organization open to all who love to play bridge. The group meets every Monday at St. Mary's Church in Export to play low-key games of duplicate bridge. Master points are awarded at each game. All money collected is donated to local charities.

Murrysville Festival Chorus This group of volunteer adults and young people performs once a year, presenting music that can be enjoyed by everyone. Crowfoot Rod and Gun Club
The activities of this club include: smallbore and hi-power rifle, trap, (shotgun) target pistol, practical pistol, archery, access to Olympic-size indoor archery range, gun-dog beagle trials, fishing lake, junior programs in archery, smallbore rifle and shotgun shooting. Hunter safety and other training programs are offered. Facilities are available for rental, including to non-shooting organizations.

  The Franklin Area Swim Team (FAST) is an organization that promotes and develops competitive swimming.  Fast is one of the many swim clubs governed by our national organization – United States Swimming, Inc. Midget Football League
The Midget Football League is a football program open to children of the Franklin Regional School District, ages 6-13. The 6-year-olds play on an instructional team, in which no games are played. The 7-9 year olds comprise the Cubs team; the 10-11 year olds comprise the Leopards; and the 12-13 year olds comprise the Panthers team. The teams play surrounding communities under the lights at the Franklin Regional High School stadium, beginning in August until the end of October.

Murrysville Area Soccer Association (MASA)
The Murrysville Area Soccer Association (MASA) is a youth soccer league made up of children aged 4 through 18. Our primary objective is to provide a fun and rewarding soccer experience for every child in our organization, while teaching teamwork, dedication, and developing soccer skills appropriate to each level of player. MASA currently has over 600 players making up more than 50 teams. Children begin their soccer experience in the Under-6 league, called the Pee-Wees. They then move on to the U-8 and U-10 boys and girls recreational league teams. As players' skills improve, they continue in the U-10, U-12, U-14, U-16 and U-19 boys and girls travel leagues, with teams that compete at various skill levels appropriate to the assigned players. The Fall session starts at the beginning of September and runs through the end of October. The Spring session starts at the beginning of April and runs through the end of May. Each in-house division plays a total of 8 games against other teams within our organization.

Murrysville Republican Committee
The Murrysville Republican Committee is elected to represent the Republican Party in Murrysville/Export and to represent local interests in county and state politics. Our mission has three basic responsibilities to our constituents:

1. To help to elect Republican candidates to offices at all levels of government.

2. Locally, to first encourage qualified Republican candidates to run for open seats in local government and second to interview candidates and recommend to the electorate the most qualified Republican
candidates for open seats in local government.

3. Locally, to support and monitor the process and activities of local government and to discuss and recommend positions to the elected officials and the public.

The Committee meets on the first Thursday of each month (With the exception of July) in the Municipal Meeting Room (across from the Library) at the Municipal Complex, 4100 Sardis Road at 7:00 PM.

Murrysville & Export Democratic Committee
The Murrysville & Export Democratic Committee represents and works to advance the philosophy and agenda of the Democratic Party both on the county and state level. The committee is compose of elected residents from each of the eight voting precents in Murrysville & Export. The committee activities are:

1.Aid in the victory of Democratic Party's nominees in all elections.

2.Promote growth and success of the Democratic Party at the local, state and national levels.

3.Promote efforts to register all qualified Democratic voters within the borders of the Municipality of Murrysville,Export and Delmont and to encourage such voters to participate in the political process.

The committe meets every third thursday of each month in the Murrysville Municipality Meeting Room(at Murrysville library)located at Sardis Road across from the Sloan school.
