Please note the following:

•    There will be no charge for the wheeled carts during the pilot program.  Residents will receive a reduced rate for recycling service during the pilot program.

•    The ownership and maintenance of the carts will be the responsibility of Allied Waste.

•    Residents should keep their regular green recycling bin (or the crate-type recycling bins) in case the program is not adopted by the entire community after the pilot program.

•    The wheeled carts must be returned to Allied Waste if the entire community does not adopt the program.

•    If the pilot program is successful and the entire community adopts the program, a charge for the wheeled carts will be added to residents’ quarterly trash bill.

•    An informational video on how automated recycling works will be shown on local government Channel 19.

 West Penn Power will be performing tree trimming and removal, brush clearing, and herbicide application, as needed, along electric line rights-of- way in the Murrysville area.  These activities are necessary for West Penn Power to ensure safe, reliable electric service to residents.

West Penn Power’s contractor, Asplundh Tree Experts, will be visiting the area soon and will continue working until all required maintenance is completed.
